Kaizer Chiefs' popular supporter Thulani Ngcobo has formed a soccer team for ladies called The Soshanguve Roses in Soshanguve Extension 8.
He formed the team in February 2015 and it is still going strong. The ladies are very happy with the team and they are grateful that he started this team.

Since the start of the team, the ladies have never looked back, and they have a cup and medals to show for themselves. The team is united and just like any other teams, they have had their fair share of challenges and problems. The team trains on Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays, they only train on Wednesday if there are games on the weekend.

The Soshanguve Roses goalkeeper coach Mr Alpheus Mnyazana says that being a man and working with ladies is a challenge on its own, because sometimes when he trains them, they complain and say that they are women so they need lighter training.
